Multi-award-winning scenic designer and visual artist Christopher Cumberbatch headlines a list of over 40 Caribbean and Diaspora contemporary artists participating in the 15th Annual Caribbean Fine Art (CaFA)

We invite artists worldwide to submit their work in any medium, including painting, photography, printmaking, video art, installation, film, sculpture, mixed media, poetry, and illustration. Submissions are free of charge, and we encourage artists from diverse backgrounds to apply.

The first exhibition to showcase artists from the UK public relations (PR) industry, ‘The Art of PR’, will open to the public for a week in London this November.

Born in Mount Vernon, New York, S. Ross Browne studied Art and Design at Virginia Commonwealth University under Dr. Murry DePillars and photography at The Corcoran School of Art. A professional studio artist of over 30 years, he is mainly a figurative painter and has exhibited domestically and internationally in over 70 gallery and museum exhibitions.

Elodie Cage-Smith is a distinguished artist known for her captivating works that transcend boundaries. Her artistry, characterized by a fusion of diverse techniques and materials, reflects a deep connection to the Caribbean and its rich cultural tapestry.

Artist Ann Rudder features at the CaFA Fair Barbados, Bagnall’s Point Gallery, Pelican Village Craft Center, Bridgetown, Barbados from March 6 – 10, 2024, featuring 45 artists and galleries representing 16 Caribbean nations, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, the UK, and the USA. The renowned annual Caribbean Fine Art Fair (CaFA), returns for its 14th edition at the historic Pelican Craft Center, Barbados

Francesco Da Vinci is a journalist, nonviolent activist, and documentary film producer who lives and works in Los Angeles.

Occhi collaborators, The Dwyer Cultural Center and Diaspora Now Inc. are pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition, titled “Art of Carnival”, will feature the work of Weldon Ryan, an award-winning Trinidadian artist exploring the cultural expressions of Caribbean Carnival. The exhibition is curated by Anderson M. Pilgrim of Barbados and New York City.

Occhi Contemporary collaborator Diaspora Now welcomes you to join the DAMA Arts Salon program on Sunday, October 22nd at 2pm EST with Aliyah Hasinah, Kaci Merriwether-Hawkins, and Anderson M. Pilgrim

Exploring the different ways walking “performs” and intervenes in public spaces, she encourages collective debate, questioning how buildings embody social practices and how inhabitation itself is a form of social practice. How can we interrogate buildings to call out these practices – when organised around exclusion or for amassing cultural capital?

As Alan collaborates with Occhi on his second exhibition, titled ‘Transition’, we caught up to discuss the show and direction of his practice.

Occhi is pleased to present our second solo collaboration with Alan Weiss, titled 'Transition'. Alan was born in the “Copper Belt” in South Central Africa in the town of Kitwe, Zambia. In this exhibition, Alan continues to explore subject matters, themes, and interests influenced by his upbringing in central and southern Africa.

In partnership with International Communications Association Inc, the exhibition “Spirituality & Ritual in the African Diaspora”, explores elements of worship across the Caribbean diaspora.

I’ve chosen this title because I believe that studying the culture, goddesses, and ancient-era art of a country can certainly help people stay positive and provide a sense of grounding and stability, particularly in times of uncertainty and challenges. By learning about the traditions, values, and beliefs of their culture, people can gain a deeper understanding of their place in the world and draw inspiration from the wisdom and creativity of past generations. This can help them maintain hope and a positive outlook, even in the face of negative news headlines, political climates, and global challenges
