Occhi is pleased to present our second solo collaboration with Alan Weiss, titled 'Transition'. Alan was born in the “Copper Belt” in South Central Africa in the town of Kitwe, Zambia. In this exhibition, Alan continues to explore subject matters, themes, and interests influenced by his upbringing in central and southern Africa.

I’ve chosen this title because I believe that studying the culture, goddesses, and ancient-era art of a country can certainly help people stay positive and provide a sense of grounding and stability, particularly in times of uncertainty and challenges. By learning about the traditions, values, and beliefs of their culture, people can gain a deeper understanding of their place in the world and draw inspiration from the wisdom and creativity of past generations. This can help them maintain hope and a positive outlook, even in the face of negative news headlines, political climates, and global challenges

Together for Our Planet Featured Artist: Mary Bobson
Mary was born in 1975 and lives in Stavropol, Russia. She graduated from the art school and the College of Technology and Design of the Technological University. A. A. Leonov in Moscow. Mary wanted to study and have an art career, but during difficult times in Russia in the 90s change her direction and became a Doctor of Economics, working for more than 20 years as a chief financier.
